Special Events

Open House

Tuesday, August 25th @ 5:30 to 7 pm - Cardwell will be holding an open house for students to come and meet their teacher and to bring in their supplies. There will be cookies and drinks. Join the fun and enjoy our first social event of the 2026-27 school year.

Veteran's Day

November  - Cardwell will be honoring veterans in the community by hosting a concert. The students have prepared songs, poems, art and essays to share their appreciation and celebrate all veterans. 

Thanksgiving Dinner

Tuesday, November 24th @ 12 pm - We make and serve a full Thanksgiving dinner for the Sr. Citizens of our community. Kids eat with our guests.

Christmas Concert

Wednesday, December 16th @ 6 pm - Students will sing and play instruments to holiday songs and there just might be a visit from a special somebody after the concert. Students must be at the school no later than 5:45.

School & County Spelling Bee

January TBD - Students that qualify from the Cardwell Spelling Bee get to attend the County Spelling Bee February to compete. 

Ice Cream Social

March - Students, families and community memembers can come out for ice cream and a meeting about switching from a traditional calendar to a 4-Day School Week for next school year. 

Egg Hunt

Wednesday, March 24th @ 2:30 - Families can come watch students hunt for eggs around the school yard in the, hopefully, nice weather!

Spring Concert

April TBD - Students will sing and play instruments to springtime songs that showcase what they have been studying in music class. 

Track Meets

Septembet/May TBD - Students will be going to Willow Creek (fall) and Harrison (spring) to compete in Track Meet events. Come out and support your track star!

Declamation

Friday, May 14th @ 12 pm- Families and community members are encouraged to come out to hear students recite poems from memory and compete for best poem.

8th Grade and Kindergarten Graduation

Tuesday, May 25th - Eighth Grade students will celebrate their accomplishments and participate in the ceremony of graduation. A short Kindergarten graduation preceeds the 8th grade ceremony to celebrate our little's accomplishment as they head into their full time education.

Last Day of School Events

Wednesday, May 26th - Come out to celebrate the end of a wonderful school year with our award ceremony, waterballoon fight, the BBQ, the candy cannon, and school family fun!
